What do I need to start?
Virtually anyone who is in good health, is reasonably fit, and is comfortable in the water can earn the PADI or SSI Open Water Diver certification. Before starting the program you must complete a program enrolment and undertake some home study.
We also strongly recommend that you go for a doctor’s check-up.
What will I do?
You’ll learn about the fundamentals of scuba diving including dive equipment, diving techniques and diver safety. You will earn your Open Water Diver Certification by successfully completing the theory sessions, pool sessions
and open water (ocean) diving sessions (including an optional skin dive!)
that form your training program.
How long will it take?
Day 1 starts at 9:00am. We start off with a program orientation before
reviewing some of your home study. Then you’re off to the pool for your first swim, snorkel and scuba session.
Day 2 starts at 9:00am. Information review, sit a short exam and then head
back to the ocean for 2 scuba & 1 snorkel dive.
Day 3 is graduation day. 2 dives and the obligatory certification paperwork
leaves plenty of time for a social drink with your new dive buddies.
